Four named subagents cover core PO work. The Researcher finds information — competitive analysis, keyword validation, market research, technology landscape reviews. The Writer produces content — user stories, stakeholder documents, sprint review materials, artifact drafts. The Analyst evaluates data — scenario models, impact reports, metrics analysis, quality assessments. The Pipeline Manager manages workflow state — tracking progress across stages, ensuring quality gates are met, managing handoffs between agents. Each role maps to real PO work you already do. Naming them makes the roles explicit and the routing intentional.
The shared brain connects everything. The knowledge vault you built in Article 1 IS the shared brain. The axiom framework from Article 6 IS the decision context every agent references. The context engineering principles from Article 3 define HOW agents access the brain. You already built the components — the shared brain is the recognition that they're connected, not separate.
Context subsetting makes this practical. Not every subagent gets the full brain. The Researcher gets domain knowledge, competitive landscape files, and keyword data. The Writer gets style guides, the axiom framework, and persona definitions. The Analyst gets metrics context, quality standards, and entity checklists. Context engineering in practice — the right context to the right agent at the right time. This prevents context overload AND keeps each agent focused on its specialty.
The coordination patterns from Article 7 define how subagents hand off work. The Researcher's outputs feed the Writer's inputs. The Analyst's evaluations feed the Pipeline Manager's quality gates. The Pipeline Manager's state updates inform the Researcher about what needs investigation next. This is the multi-agent product owner workflow in practice — not a theoretical framework, but the natural decomposition of PO work into specialized roles that coordinate through a shared knowledge layer.
The counter-argument: "Multi-agent is for developers — I don't need separate agents." This isn't about AI complexity. It's about information architecture. You make the correction. Then — and this is the step most practitioners skip — you capture the correction in the shared brain. A new rule in the axiom hierarchy. A clarified context file. An updated quality standard. A refined prompt template. The correction doesn't just fix this output. It updates the system.
Next time any subagent runs, it references the updated brain. The Writer doesn't violate scope-intolerance again because the axiom clarification is in every Writer session's context. The Researcher doesn't miss that class of competitor because the competitive landscape file now includes the pattern. One correction improves all future output across all subagents that share that context. THIS is what "compounding" means. Not faster output — better output that builds on every correction.
The interface layer makes interaction practical. Session types from Article 8 structure when you engage which subagent. Slash commands or similar routing — /research to the Researcher with domain context, /write to the Writer with style and axiom context, /analyze to the Analyst with metrics context — give you a command surface for the system. The interface doesn't need to be sophisticated. It needs to route the right request to the right subagent with the right context subset.
Watchers from Article 9 close the loop. They monitor subagent output against the axiom framework and quality standards. When a watcher catches a violation, it's a self-improvement signal — something to add or clarify in the shared brain. The system generates its own improvement tickets. You're not just correcting manually anymore. The watchers help you find what needs correcting, and the shared brain captures the fix permanently. The PO becomes the meta-watcher — overseeing a system that monitors itself and improves through captured corrections.
The counter-argument: "What about security and data privacy?" The system runs on local tools. Claude Code runs locally. Your Obsidian vault is local. Sensitive domain knowledge stays in your vault, not on cloud servers. No proprietary data leaves your machine unless you explicitly configure it to. The architecture is local-first by design.
