Recommendation · Multi-location home-services operators
Which field-service software fits a home-services operation with more than one location?
Under five locations and about twenty technicians, Housecall Pro or Jobber: both book online, both expose the booking events a recovery loop needs, and both cost a fraction of the alternative. At five or more locations, or once dispatch and per-location P&L matter, ServiceTitan — the reporting and the API are built for a multi-branch operation.
None of the links below currently pays us. If that changes, the button will say so. The recommendation is the same either way.
What decides it
- · A booking API or webhook that reports the job, its source and its ticket value — without it no attribution is possible
- · Per-location reporting that does not require a separate account per branch
- · Online booking the customer can complete from a text message
- · Total cost across all technicians, not the headline per-seat price
The vendors, by scale
ServiceTitan

Multi-branch reporting, a mature API, and the integrations every call-tracking and marketing vendor already ships.

Housecall Pro
Best for: One to four locations, growing
Online booking, review requests and a public API on the mid tier; the fastest to set up in the category.
Cost: From roughly $59 to $299 a month per plan plus per-user fees (vendor list, 2026 — verify on the vendor site)
Jobber
Best for: One to three locations with a small office team
The simplest quoting-to-invoice flow in the category, online booking, and a clean API on the upper plans.

Frequently asked
- Do you install or configure the software?
- No. The vendor onboards you; that is what they are good at and what the subscription pays for. If you run our missed-call recovery loop, we connect to whichever of these you chose through its API — we do not sit inside your account.
- Why not one of the enterprise platforms?
- Because the three named here cover the operations this page is written for. An operation past fifty locations with a central dispatch floor is a different purchase, and we would say so on the call rather than stretch this page to fit it.
- Are you paid if I sign up?
- Where we are enrolled in a vendor’s partner programme, yes, and the link says so beside the button. The recommendation does not change with the commission: the scale rule above is the same whether or not a vendor pays us.
